I can't help you, hon, but I must say that's a fabulous rose garden!

Megan, thanks baby. I have such a funny, funny story about that garden and three guys from SMUD (Sacramento Utilities District) looking for the hole in the ground about 2 weeks ago. None of us could stop laughing. I don't know why my life is so wacky, but for some reason, almost every freakin' day interesting characters are thrust upon me! When I have time I'll post it. Please don't make me post a naked lady!!! But if I have to, trust me, I can Google naked ladies as quickly as IV.

Happy Monday! Oh My God...it's almost time to vote!!!!!

Post a naked lady! Just kidding. I love the sunlit roses. It's a grey morning here in Brooklyn, and that photo just hit the spot.

And I'm excited to vote! I take Ella every time I do. Maybe this year I'll let her pull the lever. A fine lesson in civics!

Hi Megan!

Hey Suzanne...sorry about the phone fiasco. My kids were out of control when you called. You probably think I can't control them...well, I can't! ACKKK!!

Leah,

I swear, if someone doesn't, I will.

The photo is from last month or something. The garden is completely out of control. You can't tell, but trust, it's insane. I look at it, my eyes roll to the back of my head and I wake up hours later looking at the sky.

It's actually raining here today as well. Very dull, grey and gloomy, but something terribly interesing happened. It took so long to clean the kitchen and load the dishwasher that one of the white birch trees lost almost all it's leaves while I was at the sink. The rain was heavy and there was a gentle wind and before I knew it, bam, the leaves were in a pretty little yellow pile on the lawn. Wow.

Ella's a smart little cookie and bet she'll inform you that the voting booth is computerized. No more levers. I don't know what you'll be pullin' honey, but I can almost guarantee she's going to click the button before you know what the hell happened. (Ella, vote for the Democrates. Thanks sweetie! You know why? Because Mom and Dad will not only be able to continue paying for private school but also college if they get that middle class tax break. Unless they make over $250K, then I suppose you should vote for the other guy and his side-kick. And Ella, I don't think you should let Mommy touch the buttons because she will probably vote angry (remember how Dad encouraged her not to blog politically angry the other night?), so it is your duty to be the voice of reason. Remember honey, the Civics Police are everywhere, so when you come out of the polling booth with Mom tomorrow, pretend you're an innocent kid because we need your Democratic vote to count. Good girl! See you in 4 years honey! By that time you'll be old enough to have Uncle Bob teach you how to canvas your neighborhood.)

Oh "Hi Leah!" (No, I can't help myself.)

XO Love you baby and thanks for your love and support.

Hi Megan!

RC,

HI HONEY!!! I love your kids because they remind me of me and my sisters and brothers when we were young. Completely out of control. Oh, and they're absolutely hilarious! You're daughter got on the phone and I said "Hi honey, it's Aunt Suzy," and she said "Hi Aunt Suzy," then proceeded to talk to me as if she'd known me her whole life. Stuff like that cracks me up. It was so funny and then your son got on the phone and the same thing. Your kids are so smart and so, so funny. I think you're a great mom!!! Don't be so hard on yourself. You're doing a terrific job and your kids reflect that. Trust me sweetie. I know. I grew up with a whole hell of a lot of kids and know kids! You have an adorable little crew. And if kids aren't yelling and screaming in the background, what's the point?! And if they can't hold an intelligent conversation with Aunt Suzy, why pick up the phone???!!! When I call or you call, I expect the kids to get on the phone. Honestly. That was the best. I laughed out loud.

I love you baby. Don't ever worry. I'm demanding, but I'm so easy. Make me laugh and it's over. I swear to God, when you're daughter got on the phone I felt like "The Nanny!" I new what to say, but I couldn't stop laughing long enough to say it. Then your son got on and I was a gonner. I think you have your own mini comedy club. Enjoy them. You were lucky enough to have two kids. Enjoy them. You're a good mom sweetie.

I LOVE YOU!!! And talking to you was a blast. I told Cece "Honey, she doesn't sound that sophisticated, she sounds like me." Cece replied "Well, I thought she sounded very sophisticated." I said "So what's that say about me?" She replied "Well, nothing." I'd kick her ass if I wasn't non-violent. What?

XO

Hi Suze! We still have the lever machines in Brooklyn, believe it or not...they're incredibly antiquated, but hey, that's Brooklyn! you've gotta put your muscle into it. And don't worry, I won't vote angry! Promise!

Leah,

Seriously? That's too funny. And I know you won't vote angry. I trust you.

I just got mail from yesterday and you know what arrived? A beautiful little Halloween card from Robyn and her hubby. It arrived on time, I just didn't bother to collect the mail yesterday. I'll take a photo for you because it too adorable. Hand made of course and very cleaver. You'll adore it. I think I'm going to turn it into a big magnet. You'll see why. Also, she was so cute, she called us Mr. and Mrs. my last name!!! Love that sorta thing. Show Ella the photo when it arrives. You two are so creative, you'll have fun designing cards of your own. I was thinking about how to encorporate knitting into card design. Hummmmmm. Interesting. I bet Robyn would have some great suggestions. Gotta go visit her and say "THANKS!!!" Talk to you soon luv. Happy Voting Day!!!
