Summer Picnic

Since it's officially summer in this part of the world (sorry Kylie, play along ok?), it is time for the first annual Wild Onion Summer Picnic. As your host, I'll take care of the food and other necessities, but it is up to everyone else to come up with fun summer activities. Let me know what kind of outdoor fun we can have during our big picnic weekend!

I'll fire up the grill and make everyone's favorites!

Every picnic needs to have Fried Chicken...

and the perfect summer food... corn on the cob

We'll have potato salad

Watermelon is always a picnic favorite

I'll bring the remote control beer cooler... so we don't even have to get up to get a drink!

Home made apple pie is a must

We can roast marshmallows and make s'mores

I'll bring sunscreen so Megan doesn't burn again

When the sun goes down we'll have fireworks too.

That's a good start... the rest is up to the Wild Onion gang. It's up to you to make this a picnic to remember!

Megs... if we're playing charades let's make sure we aren't too loud.

I SO wish we were actually doing this...do I sense a "family reunion" somewhere down the pike?

It's only 8:20 but pass me an ice-cold beer from the cooler!

Gosh, we have so many new faces here. I really have been away longer than I thought. Silver Fox, Subtorp 77, Brian Miller,(I've seen you around every where else) and Wings Welcome to The Wild Onion. Buckel up because sometimes, we do live up to our name and get a bit crazy around this joint! To everyone else, that have commented and are lurking, HI!!!

Cece said...

Opps, I forgot to welcome Jill. Sorry for the oversight, Jill, but you are welcome here too!

Cece... I did some advertising. I've been writing the website address on bathroom walls all over California.

It really is fun to see new faces at this picnic!

Anyone want to go for a night-time swim in the lake with me? It's a little spooky, but the cool water is refreshing! We'll take our picnic cooler of beer and watermelon down to the dock with us.

I'm with Leah again!!! Yeah! How about some good old fashioned SKINNY dipping??? Beer induced, of course. All that burpy gas in our stomachs will help us float better.

HI MEGS...CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW!! I think LOUD Charades is the game and Twister is good too. Scrabble might be a little too quiet...oh, but wait when I play Scrabble I go for the juggler and get really LOUD AND CALL PEOPLE NAMES!!

Ok, part 2 of my comment, lol. It is late so what can I say. Just don't send Cece or Suze after me.

It is great to meet and greet all of our "visiters". Welcome to all, just watch out, it can get really Wild...

I have some great Michigan strawberries and the Cherries should be ready real soon.

*looks around for our fav justbob...ready for a shot of Crown on the rocks, please*

Could not find that Jorge, who hired him anyway, grr.

*heads back to garage*

As it heads into the dead of winter here down under, this sumptuous summer BBQ's seems like a distant memory, only to be rekindled when summer & Xmas time comes round again.

Wheeee!!! A picnic...can we break out the water balloons and the potato sacks for a race???

just bob said...

Suze is missing the picnic. Do you think she's in jail for not paying that traffic ticket?
