Nourriture Française Merveilleuse!

Okay, I cheated. I went here to get the title for this post. Oui oui!

Since there weren't actually any photos of French cuisine in the previous posts, I decided to add some to our vacation...after all, vacations are for stuffing your face full of wonderous decadent delights, non?!

Bon apetite!

Let's start off with infamous ESCARGOTS!!! YUMMMY!

Then have some French bread, bien sur!

We cannot forget une verre du vin! Jean-Pierre will pour your glass for you...

Then we will have Canard a L'orange or Duck L'Orange for the main course:

...with Sautéed haricots verts on the side:

And finish it off with some sumptuous Lavender Creme Brulee!

...OR you can have your choice of some tres bon French pastries!

Oooo, la la!!

It's a good thing I missed lunch... this looks a lot better than the slop that passes as food here on campus.

Dig in everyone... there's plenty for all!!!

That's German. Dude, we're still in France.

Cerveza frio por favor.

Bob,

Dude, that's Spanish and I don't think the French appreciate beer. Do they? Why not take the little car over to Germany and bunk for the night with IV. The two of you will be in all your glory tomorrow. However, don't miss the plane back to America.

Si Senora... muy bueno.

Bob...want to share a burrito? No meat please.

How about a bean burrito?

Beans, beans, they're good for your heart, the more you eat the more you fart.

Beans, beans, they're better than fruit, the more you eat the more you toot.

I think Bob asked for a cold beer, please. Is that right? And I always thought that song went, beans beans the musical fruit. The more you eat the more you toot. The more you toot the better you feel so eat beans with every meal. Maybe my verse is the second verse to your verse, Bob.

Oh and I've eaten escargot before. Yum!

Yes Cece, Bob asked for a cold beer first, then I asked him if he's like to share a burrito. And what did I get? The two of you singing the "More You Toot" jingle my father used to enjoy so much. I grew up on your version Cece, but like Bob's as well. Now I can't get either out of my brain. Pathetic.

Thank you. Thank you very much.

Blottie...be happy I didn't ask you to play the "Pull My Finger" game. That never ends up well, especially after all those beans and beer.

Cece, you missed my comment on your previous "Leah" post! Take a peek. Can you do one more if you have time? I don't want to go home yet!!! I like it here. And the food's good, but no snails for me please. I'll leave them in the garden. In fact I was leaving to feed the ferals a few days ago, but a snail was in the driveway, so picked him up and put him in the garden so I wouldn't run over him. A guy walking by said "Wow, that's the first time I've ever seen someone put one back!" We had a good laugh.

Sorry RC ~ thought this was written by Cece. I have to either stop drinking, put on my glasses or start reading. Damn! Well I don't care who the hell writes it, but can we stay in France one more day!!! PLEEEEEEEEEEZE

Suzanne said...

Hey Bob! You sqeezed in there without my knowing. What finger and where do I pull? And just so you know, I'm not a beer drinker.

God it's late. Why are we up?

No worries Suzanne, it is the thought that counts, right?

Sweet jaysus, if I had known you liked eating things that crawl, I'd have sent over the contents of my muddy boots.

No fries with that?
