I've gotta load the dishwasher...

What? Yes, it's true, I have to load the dishwasher at approx. 2 am. I'm a bit behind the 8 ball. But look! Mr Shife has my book and it should help him. Apparently it didn't help me because I'm still screwed up.

I don't have a dishwasher, but I finally caught up with the washing. And as for what I'm going to do with my life, I think I'm going to make crocheted carrots with faces. Lots of 'em!

I love those carrots. Are you giving those away to blogger friends for Christmas? If not, can I buy one? You know me and veggies!

Have a great day sweetie. It's raining in CA today. How odd. It feels are warm and fuzzy. Like I should light a fire or something, but no time, gotta run to the park.

Do you guys notice how it never matters what I post???!!! Ahhhhhhh, who cares!!! Life just takes on itself! I always laugh about that. I could write anything and it wouldn't really matter! I love that most about Blogger. That people feel comfortable just posting what ever the hell makes them happy. What a wonderful thing.

Love you all.
Happy Friday!

Gig,

Hi baby. Gotta get to the park, but not before telling you I love you so.

I need a haircut. I chopped off about 6 inches the other day and did a horrible job. What? Yes, it's very choppy! Why can't you just live next door and fix me?

You don't have a dishwasher? Oh dear God. I'd die without one. I wash way too much stuff with one!!! What? I bitch too much don't I? I know. Okay, I'm going to stop. Leah, how can youi crochet and wash dishes? You are one remarkable woman.

God I wish I had a dishwasher. And a laundry room. And a porch. And a... oh never mind.

But I don't really want any of those things at two in the morning!

Megan,

Sweetie, it's 11:30. You're good to go! Put your dishes in my washer.

You made me realize a lot of shit. I have a porch, but don't use it. I will. I have a laundry room. I use it to death!!! But now I'll appreciate the hell out of it. I love you darling. Thanks for reminding me of simple stuff. Really. Thank you.

No porch, no dishwasher, but a new washer/dryer, my first ever, and it's the love of my life. Seriously.

A new washer/dryer. Is that an all in one sorta thing? Like a stackable?

I thought of you so much at the park today. I don't know why, but I did. This has been a very unusual day.

We actually got a full-size, but they're stackable. They took over my food pantry, so now I'm still trying to figure out where to put all the food supplies...but I can't complain, I really can't...my kitchens huge, but not enough cupboards. But it has a fireplace! I dream of getting it cleaned and cooking soups and stews in a cast iron pot hanging over the open flames!

Oh you know that the full size top loader is THE way to go, dear. Now for the dryer, I had been repairing an ancient Sears model for more than 15 years till our finally broke in such a way that they didn't carry parts for it anymore. Now I have a brand new version of the same ... and love it!

We had to have front-loaders because space is such a precious commodity here in Brooklyn--I was just happy to have full-size. We looked at one model where you couldn't run the washer and dryer at the same time! Is it wrong that I find a discussion of such things scintillating?!

Suze, we've gotten from what to do with our lives to washer-dryers. Somehow, at least for me, the trajectory makes sense!

I realized that I said my kitchen's huge...I meant by Brooklyn standards though.

I absolutely love discussions about appliances. Why? I have no idea, but since my early teens I've loved to shop for appliances. I was always extatic when we needed something new!!! When I read the Sunday paper, I look for sales on appliances. What? I've concluded that people are just wired in a certain way. Maytag last for freakin' ever. My life is hopeless. I never get to buy new appliances. I look and drool. Wow, Leah got a new washer and dryer. Brilliant. I would love to be in her pantry and look at those beauties.

I don't have a dishwasher either....or a dryer. My house was built in 1951; do you KNOW where the women did the laundry back then? Yup, in the middle of the kitchen.

At least it's near the beer!
